Prosperous Armenia Party MP Arman Abovyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“When we were ‘bursting’ saying that there was a risk of coronavirus penetration, the government was saying that everything was fine and that no further steps were needed and that the coronavirus’ beetle in general was specially incorporated into the Armenian information field for some political interests.

I have heard such stupid and dangerous thoughts many times these days, but I thought at least now I need to get out of the political nonsense and take urgent measures to prevent the infection from spreading.

Necessarily, we have to take tough steps to prevent antivirus medicines and hygiene items (such as a sharp rise in medical masks) and mandatory punishment for those who are taking advantage of the panic expensive drugs and medical masks.

It is already enough to make sense of political bickering, and it is time to seriously consider the danger of spreading the virus.

I am convinced that if there is a lack of official information, the panic will spread further, so I urge the relevant authorities not to refrain from stepping in and an informing citizens as soon as possible about preventive measures.”
