It is still unknown whether there are Armenian citizens among 176 people (167 passengers and 9 crew members) killed in the crash of a Ukrainian Boeing-737 passenger plane in Iran.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan said: “The information on the presence of Armenian citizens in the list of victims of the crash of a Ukrainian passenger Boeing-737 in Iran is being verified.”
As we have already reported, a Ukrainian plane with 167 passengers crashed not far from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini airport in Iran. The incident took place shortly after the plane was in the air.

The aircraft had technical problems.
According to Reuters, it is Boeing 737. It is reported that 167 passengers and 9 crew members died.
