The host of Diana Harutyunyan’s fake Facebook page has been arrested. Iravaban.net learned this from the NSS Press Center.

He has been charged under Article 226 (2 – 1) (Inciting national, racial or religious hostility publicly or through the use of mass media ) and Article 254 (1) (Illegal appropriation of computer data) of the Criminal Code of the RA.

Notably, on 3 January, Diana Harutyunyan’s Facebook page reported that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had congratulated the US President on the action taken against Iran’s top military. This false news was also spread in the Azerbaijani and Iranian media. Publication, dissemination, manipulation of information, in the information and propaganda field with such content aimed at inciting national, racial and religious hostility has significantly damaged the national security interests of the Republic of Armenia.

As a result of operative-intelligence activities carried out by the RA National Security Service, the identity of the host of “Diana Harutyunyan” Facebook page was revealed.

Note: The person suspected in or accused of an alleged crime is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in accordance with the Court’s verdict made effective.
