On February 14, around a hundred policemen and numerous police cars were carrying out supervision and showing discriminatory approach in the yard of the Yerevan Municipality, forbidding the parking of the “Yerkir Tsirani” faction in the yard of the municipality where the service cars of the municipality cars were permanently parking. The Yerkir Tsirani party has issued a statement on this.
The statement reads:
“We tried to get an explanation, in response to which the police officer informed that the numbers of the faction’s car had been removed from the “list”. According to our information, it turned out that the author of such instruction is Taron Margaryan, who is currently absent from the city.
Author of yesterday’s attack, Taron Margaryan, who instructed, we quote his words “Stop her, stop her quick! Quick!” and the pack attacked the members of Council of Elders of Yerkir Tsirani faction. In addition to this illegal order, two other illegal orders have been released as well; to stain the office of the “Yerkir Tsirani” faction and to prohibit the entry of the “Yerkir Tsirani” service car into the parking lot.
We condemn the vicious reality that law enforcement agencies instead of carrying out their mission, support and sponsor Taron Margaryan the person, who commits violence and other illegalities. Taron Margaryan’s instruction, “Block her! Stop her! Quick! Quick!” revealed the essence of the tyranny system in Armenia once again.
We demand that the law enforcement agencies of Armenia to stop sponsoring Taron Margaryan, and to immediately institute criminal proceedings and involve Taron Margaryan as an accused person not only as an instructor of violence and sexual harassment, but also for appropriation of public funds (The Report to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia on December 28, 2017 by Zaruhi Postanjyan, Head of the Yerkir Tsirani faction of the Council of Elders on abuse of the official position and the appropriation of public funds, has not been processed yet).
It should be reminded that a scuffle took place on February 13 at the sitting of the Council of Elders sitting. Police is preparing materials on the fact.
