Establishment and Development of Independent National Anti-Corruption Body as the Major Goal

On 4 September 2015, the 16th Anti-Corruption Conference continued its work. The participants attended different round tables on anti-corruption themes that were held simultaneously. The themes include: Collective Action against Corruption; Next Level of International Efforts Against Global Corruption; Bringing Business and Government together to fight Corruption; Investigating Corruption, etc. The discussions were dynamic and interesting, as the conference has joined together the vanguard of the struggle against corruption who are ready to stop the impunity of corruption.

The round tables were followed by the plenary sessions, which were concluded with the closing ceremony and adoption of the Declaration.

•    Citizens’ Consolidation and development of Public Monitoring

•    Strengthening Integrity

•    Development of anti-corruption organizational capacity; Establishment and development of Independent National Anti-Corruption Body; Development of the Anti-Corruption legislation.

The 16th International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) is held from 2 to 4 September 2015 in Putrajaya, Malaysia. Over 1000 participants from different countries attended the conference. Representatives from the state bodies, civil society, business organizations, as well as from the international organizations and media represented the vanguard of fight against corruption. The Armenian delegation participates in the work of IACC as well. Mr. Karen Zadoyan, Coordinator of the SCOs’ Anti-Corruption Secretariat, President of the Armenian Young Lawyers Association (AYLA); Mr. Artak Saribekyan, AYLA Executive Director; Ms Naira Gyulnazaryan, Coordinator of Anti-Corruption Projects of OSCE Yerevan Office; and Ms Arev Movsisyan from the USAID Armenian Office represented the Armenian delegation.
