“Administrative punishment should be an exception rather than a rule,” said the human rights activist, legal expert Artak Zeynalyan at the press conference with the journalist during the launching ceremony of the “Introduction of Effective Mechanism for the Legal protection in the Road Traffic Relations and Improvement of the Legal Framework” Project․
Mr. Artak Zeynalyan said that in the framework of the project a group of advocates provides free legal aid to the drivers, persons subjected to administrative liability, and the owners of the vehicles.
Mr. Ara Ghazaryan, Expert of the European convention of Human Rights added that 4 advocates will provide the free legal aid. He also said that it has been already 4 years that they deal with this issue, but there were no adequate resources for expansion. “We shall try to create a system that would protect the drivers’ rights.
