The protest action which started today at 19:00 in the Liberty Square is going on. In their speeches the members of coordinating group urge the people to join the struggle, “Only through unity we may achieve the victory!”
The members of the coordinating group also presented their demands:
1. Cancel the Public Services Regulatory Commission’s (PSRC) decision on the rise of electricity tariffs.\
2. Review the current tariff plan in order to reduce.
3. Call to responsibility all those who participated in the violence and applied illegal actions against the participants of peaceful gathering.
David Sanasaryan said that today they are fighting in the Liberty Square, and shall continue the struggle unless the citizen of the Republic of Armenia cannot find justice, unless the rights of the citizen are infringed, and the citizen’s interests are neglected and as long as the citizens are subject of the violence by the police. “During these days we receive a lot of information that the police officers visit the homes of citizens who struggle and threaten them trying to keep back from the protest actions.”
He said that the other option for the struggle is to seek a living in a foreign country, which they do not want, so we have to fight.
