Shortly before, Deputy Chief of Police Valery Osipyan spoke at the Liberty Square and said that the Police will not allow organizing an unauthorized march and also that they have enough forces to prevent it. He told the demonstrators that they could stay at Liberty Square informing the appropriate authorities and obtaining the authorization. He also told the journalists that today the police worked without truncheons and thanked the citizens that they are having a peaceful though unauthorized assembly.
One of the demonstrators expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Chief of Police Valery Osipyan for not beating the demonstrators this time.
