Today, in his speech in the RA NA, Gagik Khachatryan, the RA Minister of Finance referred to the issue of overpayments. He said, “Our colleagues wondered that the economic indicators are declining while budget revenues increase. The speech is about the so called “tax terror” or additional, excessive overpayments. I have to remind our colleagues and calm those colleagues who are talking about this and say that we have no growth in overpayments, our overpayments increase only in cases when provided by the law. But when we speak about the increase of budget revenues, it is merely our government’s policy, along with the revival of economic indicators; we have to increase the tax discipline.”
He referred to the legislative initiatives as well, and said that we shall have a unified Tax Code by the end of the year.
