Today, the new “Strengthening Integrity and Combating Corruption in Higher Education in Armenia” was launched.

In the interview with Iravaban.net, Ms Liana Amirbekyan, Senior Project Officer said that the project aims at strengthening integrity and combating corruption in higher education institutions “Our task is to support the responsible officials of higher education sphere in the activities aimed at prevention of the corruption risks and development of the integrity mechanisms, and thus contributing to raising the level of effective management,” she said.
According to Ms Amirbekyan, that as a result of project implementation the awareness level on the issue will be raised among the wide range of the beneficiaries. “In addition the institutional structures aimed at strengthening integrity and combating corruption in higher education of Armenia will be developed and work effectively,” Ms Amirbekyan said.
The project duration is 24 months. It is supported by the Council of Europe and European Union in the framework of bilateral cooperation programs of the Eastern Partnership Countries.
