Maybe we do not quite meet those Standards. Gevorg Ter-Gabrielyan about the Competition of the Anti-Corruption Council

According to Gevorg Ter Gabrielyan, Director of Eurasia Partnership Foundation in Armenia, the Foundation still has not discussed the issue of participation in the competition for being included in the Anti-Corruption Council.

In the interview with Iravaban.net, Mr. Te-Gabrielyan said, “If even such council existed in the previous stages, still we had not participated in it. We have so many agendas that applying do it is not a priority for us, as we simply shall not have time. Maybe we do not quite meet those standards. For iot is required to to have implemented anti-corruption programs during the last five years. We have had such, but they were not so large and I am not sure whether we shall meet the requirement.”

However, Mr. Ter-Gabrielyan noted that the already were collaborating with the Ministry of Justice. “We effectively cooperate on anti-corruption issues with the Ministry of Justice. It seems to me that it is not necessary for us to be in the Council. Our cooperation does not depend on this, it depends on overall position of our programs,” said the Director of Eurasia Partnership Foundation in Armenia.

In fact, the competition is only set for NGOs, there is no provision for foundations.
