As it was reported earlier, today, the discussion on introduction of the Draft Concept of Probation Service was postponed at the RA Cabinet meeting.
Iravaban.net tried to find out the reason for such delay from Mr. Hovhannes Manukyan, the RA Minister of Justice. The Minister said, “The probation issue has passed through a series of really concerned discussions. A number of departments have problems and it is natural that the more the questions are solved and regulated on the concept level, easier the process of writing the draft law will be and such draft laws will be easier approved in the NA.”
Mr. Manukyan said that although the main proposals were approved in the discussion phase, yet there were still issues, which remained unsolved and they need additional discussions. “The delay was due to this problems and I believe it will not last long,” said the Minister.
