On 15 April 2015, the Armenian Young Lawyers Association in cooperation with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) organizes a discussion on “The Role of the Civil Society in the Process of Constitutional Reforms”. The discussion will take place in Hyatt Palace Yerevan Hotel (26/1 Vazgen Sargsyan Str. 2nd Floor) at 15:00-18:00.
Representatives from international organizations, CSOs and Mass Media, as well as independent experts who will deliver individual reports will participate. Dr. Canan Atilgan, Director of the Regional Program South Caucasus of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), Mr. Karen Zadoyan, President, Armenian Young Lawyers Association (AYLA) and Ms Anahit Manasyan, Senior Adviser to the President of the Constitutional Court will welcome the participants. The welcoming remarks will be followed by introduction and discussions on the perspectives of the Civil Society.
Mr. Carl Ulbricht, International expert of EU projects, Mr. Vardan Poghosian, Head of the Project Advice on Legal and Judicial Reform in Armenia, GIZ, Member of the Professional Commission for Constitutional Reforms, Ms Haykuhi Harutyunyan, President of the “Protection of rights without borders” NGO, Mr. Avetik Ishkhanyan, President of the Armenian Helsinki Committee, Mr. Varuzhan Hoktanyan, Executive Director of Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center, and Ms Tamara Abrahamyan, Coordinator of the Public Network for Cooperation with State Authorities will make reports and presentations as well.
