Being in Artsakh with a business visit the delegation of Academy of Justice headed by the rector Ruben Melikyan visited Artsakh State University.
The delegation was received by the rector of the University, PHD of Economy, Associate Professor Manush Minasyan. The rector of the Academy R. Melikyan introduced the main directions of the academy’s activity and spoke about the issues referring the educational process. During the meeting they attached importance to the problem of having literate and clever graduates, as most of the students of Artsakh State University may be students in the Academy in the future.
Rector of the Academy Ruben Melikyan held a lecture for the professors and students of the ASU law faculty. It was dedicated to the development directions of the modern criminal procedures. There were many questions referring the discussed topic interesting both the lecturers and the students. Answering the questions R. Melikyan spoke about the separate provisions of the Draft Code and their importance.
The students thanked both for the visit and the lecture willing to make such kind of visits more often.
Rector of the ASU also attached importance to the meeting considering it very useful for the future lawyers. The Rector also attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition of paintings made by students dedicated to the 100th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide.
