The principle of competition is violated: Defendant Zarine Ayvazyan’s advocate Yerem Sargsyan made such announcement at the court after the denial of his motion.
Today, the regular court session on the fact of the deth of 2,5 year old Lia Misakyan was continued at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Arabkir and Nork Marash Administrative Districts of Yerevan. The defenders of the accused made motions.
According to the motion that Yerem Sargsyan filed, Argam Hovsepyan, the Head of the forensic medical examination, should have been invited to the court and questioned. But the court denied the motion, reasoning that the committee members had already been invited with regard to the conclusion of the examination and questioned.
The advocate mentioned that the principle of competition was being violated; possibly they could be questioned 10 times, but no clarification of this issue might be provided. He added that there were problems without solutions as well.
We would like to remind that on 31 December 2012, Lia Misakyan had a temperature and was in conditions of a shock. She was taken to Arabkir Medical Center by the ambulance, where she died on 2 January 2013. Two doctors, Lilit Vardanyan and Zarineh Ayvazyan, were accused in the framework of the criminal case.
