The prisoner of ”Nubarashen” penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice Artur H. reported that the investigator of the preliminary investigation of his case demanded a bribe in the amount of 3000-5000 USD from him in order to dismiss the proceeding of the above mentioned case. During the private visit on another day the defender demanded 20,000 USD from him for the same case in order to give it to the investigator and the prosecutor.
A criminal case has been initiated in RA Special Investigation Service on the basis of the communication of prisoner of ‘‘Nubarashen’’ penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice Artur H. on the fact of demanding a bribe in particularly large size and for preparation of giving a bribe by the defender according to the prepared materials pursuant to Point 1, Part 4 of Article 311 and Pont 1, Part 1 of Article 312 of the RA Criminal Code.
A preliminary investigation is in process.
