Shengavit Investigation Department of the Investigation Committee of Yerevan initiated a criminal case on the attempt to murder of Vardan Karapetyan. On 31 March, 2015 around 01:30 a.m. prima facie offender shot in the direction of the citizen Vardan Karapetyan in Popov street. As a result the latter was injured in the abdomen. Vardan Karapetyan was taken to hospital by the residents of the area. In respect of this in Shengavit Investigation of Department the criminal case was initiated according to the RA Criminal Code, Article 34-104, part 1 and Article 235, part 1. V. Karapetyan was announced as the victim. Investigation is underway, and the necessary measures are taken to ascertain the circumstances of the case. The respective units of the police are ordered to take measures to determine the identity of the prima facie offender.
