The preliminary investigation of the tragic car accident case that took place in Shirak marz on 10 November 2014 came to the end. Liana Balyan, defender of Manvel Vardanyan accused for the case said to Iravaban.net. “The preliminary investigation is finished, but the indictment has not been stated yet and the case is being send to court.”
The defender also informed that the day beofore she had filed a petition demanding to initiate a criminal case against the driver of the “Gaz-32213” vehicle, as well as to appoint double expertise. Mrs. Balayan supported her petition in the following way. ”The driver of the “Gazel” should have been more attentive and stop the car in time. There could have been animals or rockslide on his way instead of “Kamaz”, so the driver should have been more attentive anyway.”
The defender also added that some days ago the owner of the route #359 filed a civil claim against the accused demanding in total 3.600.000 AMD. “He demands the missed profit for 80 days”.
She also referred to the explosion that occurred on the same day during the accident, and said that the 4 tires of the “Gazel 32213” vehicle exploded.
On 10 November 2014, the “Kamaz-53202” vehicle attached to the driver of “Imex Group” LTD Manvel Vardanyan and “Gaz-32213” vehicle of Yerevan-Gyumri route #359 with registration number 0811L, drivery Razmik Mkrtchyan collided on Yerevan-Gyumri road. As a result of the accident “Gaz-32213” vehicle was caught by the fire, and 7 citizens died.
