Investigation Department of Lori Province of the Investigative Committee of RA initiated a criminal case on the act of violence against the representative of power; the RA Investigative Committee informs. On 9 March 2015, at 03:05 am, the traffic police inspector of the first platoon of the 2nd company of the 5th battalion A. Kocharyan handed a report to Taron Police Department, informing that on 9 March 2015, approximately at 02:30, they were conducting service in the beginning of Shirak highway in Vanadzor City. During the service, they stopped a “Mercedes-Benz” car with five people who were under the influence of alcohol. The latter came out of the car and started to quarrel with the policemen. One of the passengers, S. Navasardyan, hit the traffic inspector in the face and escaped.
On 9 March, 2015, Investigation Department of Lori Province of the Investigative Committee of RA, initiated a criminal case, under Article 316, Point 1 of the Criminal Code of the RA. On the same day S. Navsardyan was arrested.
