Khachatur Khachatryan, the Judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Lori marz who was arrested on 25 December 2014, at the moment of taking a bribe, has not testified yet, His advocate Karen Tumanyan informed Iravaban.net about this.
“At this point there is nothing new, the investigation is underway, the judge did not testify,” the advocate said.
According to information of the NSS Khachatur Khachatryan had requested and received a bribe of 20.000USD for making a favorable decision on the civil case of a businessman in his procedure. The NSS of the RA has initiated a criminal case under the requirements of Clause 2 and 3 of Part 4 of Article 311 of the Criminal Code of the RA.
On 29 December, Court of General Jurisdiction of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan city has detained the judge for two months. Advocate Karen Tumanyan had told that the judge pleaded himself not guilty.
