Today at 20:10, Gyumri Medical Center received the first group of patients. Armen Isahakyan the Director of the Medical center informed that the citizens were injured as a result of stone strikes. Altogether the 10 civilians and 4 policemen were injured. “One of the citizens had tried to another citizen in the ambulance and left his finger under the door,” the director of the medical center said.
He informed that the policemen were admitted in serious condition. “They were accepted with skull traumas. One of the police officers had the skull bone fracture, but there is no brain damage, he moved to the reanimation,” the Director said.
Director of the Medical center said that the citizens had suffered light injuries. Only one of them got a burn, but Armen Isahakyan could not explain how that happened. Most of the patients have already been discharged from hospital.
It is due to mention that today there were explosions near the Russian Consulate. The special troopers threw noise grenades, one of which appeared under the citizens’’ feet. During our visit another citizen with the wound on his leg was brought to the medical center as well.
Notably, today there were police officers from Yerevan among the special troopers. In addition the policemen who serve in Yerevan were on duty in front of the building of the Prosecutor’s office. Some of them are often seen during the protest actions.
