Iravaban,net had informed that on 23 December at 17:45, the officers of “Artik” Penitentiary found 4 cell phones in the bag of the advocate who visited the prisoner Artyom Pogosyan. They found packages with suspicious masses in the phone chargers.
The Investigative Committee of the RA informed us that a criminal case was initated based on the materials prepared in “Artik” Penitentiary.
On the same day at around 21:00 one charger of the mobile phone was found in the women’s toilet of “Artik” Penitentiary, where 3 packages with suspicious masses were found as well. The advocate insisted that he had thrown those there.” The chemical examination of the suspicious mass revealed that 55.7 grams of it was marijuana and 0.25 grams “hashish oil” drug.
Based on the prepared materials a criminal case was initiated according to Article 266 Part 2 Clause 2 and Article 268 part 2 Clause 2. Today the advocate was arrested for the action performed under the requirement of Article 268 part 2 Clause 2. Measures are being taken to ensure the comprehensive and objective investigation.
