The Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the RA informs that Kotayk marz Department of the Investigative Committee had initiated a criminal case on the fact of the death of Artak Arzumanyan, the prisoner of Sevan Penitentiary.
On 20 December at 2014, at 11:00 in the former building of the former school in residential zone of Sevan Penitentiary of the RA Ministry of Justice the corps of prisoner Artak Arzumanyan was found hanging from the concrete reinforcement metal wire.
During the search of the place a notebook paper was found in the pocket of Artak Arzumanyan’s jacket. It read, “Do not blame anyone for what I have done. I am tired of this life and have decided,” then a signature.
For the purposes of objective investigation of the case a thorough and comprehensive study is being carried out.
