Today, on 14 December, regular elections to local self-governmental bodies have started in Armenia. Elections of the community heads will be held in 26 communities, elections to the Councils of Elderly will be held in 9 communities.
According to the information from the official website of the Republic of Armenia central Electoral commission, elections of the community heads are held in Jrashen, Arevadasht, Geghakert, Lernamer, Verin Dvin and Tsaghkunk communities of Armavir marz. In Gegharkunik marz members of the Council of Elderly will be elected in 5 communities and community heads in 2 communities. In 2 communities in Syunik marz members of the Council of Elderly will be elected and heads of communities will be elected in 2 communities. Community heads will be elected in Kotayk, Lori, Vayots Dzor and Shirak marzes as well.
Elections to local self-governmental bodies will last till 20:00.
