From 1 January 2015, citizens of the United States will travel to our country without a visa. At today’s Government Session the Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan presented the draft wit corresponding amendments. Mr. Nalbandyan noted that this stems from the action plan signed as a result of Armenian-American intergovernmental meeting.
The Minister said that according to Clause 28 of this Plan, the two counterparts will finalize the visa liberation process, which will result a visa free regime for the US citizens and starting from the next year a 10-year multiple entry visa will be provided to vast layers of the Armenia citizens.
Mr. Nalbandyan explained that this draft facilitates process of obtaining an entry visa to the US and in addition will be a stimulus to increase the number of visits of the US citizens to Armenia.
