Today the Court of general jurisdiction of Erebuni and Nubarashen Communities presided by judge Vladimir Grigoryan continued the trial on the case of the soldier`s death sock with smallpox, and the victim side and advocate were not present at the court sitting.
Varduhi Elbakyan, attorney of one of the defendants Varduhi Elbakyan informed that the defense side has applied for amnesty. “As the amnesty has become quite common, the two defendants applied so that an amnesty applies to them, but that does not have any connection to guilt or innocence. But the victim side was not present at the court sitting so that their opinion is also taken into account, and the court sitting was postponed”, – said Mrs. Elbakyan.
She also informed that next court sitting is set on 16 January of 2015, and then it will become clear whether amnesty applies or not.
