On 21 August, a meeting of the Civil Society Organizations of Syunik marz was organized in the Anti-Corruption Center of Syunik marz operated by the Armenian Young Lawyers Association. The meeting was organized in the framework of “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion” project with the involvement of the volunteers of the AYLA Syunik Regional Branch.
During the meeting the participants discussed the types of corruption offenses and the effective ways of fight against corruption. Participants were unanimous in their approach to this issue. They believe that in addition to the political will and professional bodies, an anti-corruption perception and intolerance against any occurrence of corruption shall be formed in the society. In this respect the events aimed at the development of the anti-corruption monitoring and surveillance abilities of CSOs and media organizations in the framework of “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion” project is very important as well. Ani Asatryan, Coordinator/Legal Adviser of Syunik Branch of the Armenian Young Lawyers Association had organized the meeting.
