The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated against the Deputy Head of the Accounting – Examination Division of Yerevan Traffic Police A. Kyureghyan for taking bribe was completed in the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia. The prosecutor who supervised the preliminary investigation of the criminal case confirmed the bill of indictment.
The investigation revealed that on 31 May, 2012, A. Kyureghyan had demanded bribe from K. Abrahamyan in order to give the latter’s brother K. Abrahamyan a driver’s licence and help him to pass the theoretical and practical exams. A. Kyureghyan had received the bribe in his office on 1 June, 2012.
A. Kyureghyan was accused according to the Part 1 of the Article 311 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The criminal case was sent to the Court of First Instance of Erebuni Administrative District.
