In response to the statement of the Prosecutor’s Office, the team of “DEM EM” Initiative circulated a reply. Iravaban.net learned this from dem.am website. The reply reads:
“Quotation from “Comments on the RA Constitution” scientific collection under the editorship G. Harutyunyan, A.Vagharshyan, Yerevan, “Iravunk” 2010.”
“Resistance to pressure and tyranny is the right vested to the people, which may be expressed by the resistance against the illegal acts and actions of the authorities. The contemporary and appropriate way of resistance is the civil disobedience.
Civil disobedience is the non-violent and peaceful way if resistance, when the people opposed to the government’s policy through organizing public gatherings, road blockades, dissemination of propaganda leaflets and strikes denying cooperation with the authorities…” (Chapter 1, page 60).
Do not try to limit by threats and violent force our rights to free expression, as well as organizing peaceful gatherings which are guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, as well as by the well known international instruments which the Republic of Armenia has ratified.
In addition, we want to note, that hindering to the organization of peaceful gatherings is a criminally punishable act.

We believe that there is no deficit of outstanding cases in the Republic of Armenia, which the Prosecutor General’s Office of the RA must deal with. Specifically, the contents of declarations on the property of the bureaucracy; the circumstance of spouses milliners of the ministers; the debt of 300 million USD for the gas which the Republic of Armenia has accumulated; the plunder of Vorotan and Nairit, etc (the list may be continued).
We urge the Prosecutor General’s Office of the RA to study the main purpose of money collection by virtue of the unconstitutional article of the RA law on Accumulative Pension and the cash flow, to reveal the real “beneficiaries”, as well as the issue of the risk of undue and inefficient spending the public funds on the mentioned law during the 10 years.
