875 million AMD for the construction and purchase of equipment for the second block of “Armavir” penitentiary. It is designed for 400 persons. Today, the government approved the draft decision to allocate sum to the Ministry of Justice of the RA.
Yegishe Kirakosyan, Deputy of the Acting Minister of Justice Hrayr Tovmasyan noted that the Ministry receives financial support of around 9 million EURO budget support from the European Union for this purpose as well. The condition is that a penitentiary of the European standards for 1200 persons must be ready by 2016.
The first block of “Armavir” penitentiary for 400 persons has already been operated.
