On 19 March, 2014 at 17:10, as a result of joint operative investigation measures and investigative activities, undertaken in the framework of good governance and anti-corruption fight program, the officers of operative department and investigative service of the Military Police of the RA Ministry of Defense arrested the Military Commissar of Nor Nork Administrative district. The Military Commissar, Colonel Rafayel Zakharyan was arrested in the office of the head or conscription department of Nor Nork Military Commissariat just after taking a bribe in especially large amount of 3.900 USD from the citizen G.V., informs the media service of the RA Ministry of Defense.
A criminal case was filed in the Military Police of the RA Ministry of Defense according to point 2 of the Paragraph 4 of the article 311 of the RA Criminal Code. The investigation is carried out in the investigative division of the special cases of the Investigative Service of the RA Ministry of Defense.
The Senior Conscription Officer of Conscription Department of the same Military Commissariat Tigran Hovhannisyan was arrested as well.
