The State Interests Protection Department of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office initiated a criminal case on abuse of authority and fraud by the officials of “Sevan National Park” SNCO and Gavar Territorial Department of State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre.
The Press service of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office informs that study of the materials received from the Control Service of the President of the Republic of Armenia revealed a number of illegalities and fraud in the land allotment process
In particular in the period of 2007-2010 the officials of “Sevan National Park” SNCO and Gavar Territorial Department of State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre taking advantage of their official powers and evading their official duties had allotted land pieces, which belong to the SCNO on property right, to a group of individuals for rent or on site development rights.
According to the materials of the criminal case the aforementioned officials violated a number of decrease and orders of the RA Government on registration of the property rights over the state property, including the Decision of the Government of Armenia No. 1563 adopted on 18 December, 2008 “On Land plot Renting, Provision of Building up Rights and Urban Development Activities in “Sevan” National Park and in the Territories Adjacent to it,” as well as the order provided by the SNCO Charter and the protocol of 10 November 2009 SCNO session on limitation of notarization and registration of transactions and allotted land plots illegally in violation of timeframe and other requirements.
In result of the mentioned activities, as well as during the collection of 257000000 AMD payments during the years, the mentioned above officials failed to meet their official responsibilities and thus caused a considerable damage to the state.
The State Interests Protection Department of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office initiated a criminal case pursuant to the requirements of Article 308(2) and 314 of the Criminal Code of the RA. The preliminary inquiry of the case has been charged to the General Investigation department of the RA Police.
At the same time the State Interests Protection Department filed petitions to the Court with request to annul the agreements on illegal allotment of lands.
