Yesterday, at the meeting of ARF Supreme Body, the organization determined that Mikayel Manukyan will substitute Vahan Hovhannisyan, the Member of the RA National Assembly in the Fraction of the Party, informs the official website of ARF Bureau.
Mikayel Manukyan’s biography:
He was born on 10 April, 1967 in Yerevan.
In 1986 he graduated from the faculty of Decorative Design of the Yerevan Terlemezian Fine Arts College. He is a painter.
In 1985-1988 he served in the Soviet Army. He has taken part in the war actions from the beginning of the Karabakh freedom fighting.
In 1992-2002 he worked in “Yerkir” daily as a reporter. In 2002 he was a responsible person for the party organizational work in the ARF Supreme Body.
He was awarded medals for Shushi Liberation of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR), Marshal Baghramian and Military Service of the NKR.
In 2002-2007 and from 2010 up to day, he is the Chairman of the ARF Supreme Body.
On May 12, 2007 he was elected as a deputy of the National Assembly by proportional electoral system from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Party.
He is married, has three children.
