Iravaban.net continues to introduce the readers information on the law firms operating in Armenia. The interlocutor of the “Law Firms of Armenia” series is Mr. Aramazd Kiviryan, the founder of “Ares” law office.. He will tell about the policy adopted by the office, the difficulties and problems of the lawyer’s activity as well as other issues related to the profession.
– When was your law office founded, will you tell us briefly about your activities?
– The office was founded in 2007 and since that day, in fact, we have been providing legal and advocacy services in civil, administrative, including criminal fields, and on various issues, including bankruptcy cases, in terms of international law. We clarify various issues that may arise for citizens and legal entities.
– Why “Ares”?
– The name “Ares”, as you know, is the name of the Greek god of war, and it is mainly due to it, that is, we have chosen that name as a symbol of struggle and have been operating under that name for about 17 years.
– What principle are you guided by when undertaking cases?
– Basically, we try to understand whether we will be able to be useful to the person in that case or not, to help in obtaining the result that the person expects. If we see that the probability is small, the person must decide whether he wants to enter those processes with that small percentage. We like to choose interesting cases that will contribute to the development of law. These are the main directions.
– What problems do lawyers face today both in pre-trial bodies and in courts?
– The problems, as such, have increased, that is, new problems have appeared together with the previous problems. For example, you will remember cases when violence against lawyers happened in the police, etc. It creates a very bad impression related to the relevant competent authorities. During court proceedings, there are cases when lawyers’ rights are violated and lawyers do not have the opportunity to fully exercise their rights.
