In the Next 3-4 Years, the System will change in a Positive Way in Armenia: Armen Yezekyan about the E-Justice System

Effective from 1 February, 2024, all applications submitted to the court in new civil cases must be prepared and filed through the System in accordance with the tools and requirements set forth by the System.

Such documents are, for example, a claim, statement, complaint, response, position, petition, etc. As for the documents attached to the above and other procedural documents, they are also submitted through the System in a scanned version, and if the attached document is electronic, then it is submitted without scanning.

In case of non-compliance with the specified procedure, the submitted documents will be considered not meeting the specified requirements and subject to returned.

In an interview with Iravaban.net, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, Armen Yezekyan mentioned that noted that the introduction of the system as a phenomenon is a step forward, but in practice various problems arise.

“Solving problems requires a certain period of time, the ways that will contribute to solving problems must be simplified. They are both technical and substantive in nature. As a phenomenon, this is quite a good process, since the whole world is following in the process of the implementation of e-justice,” Mr. Yezekyan said.

According to him, quite serious work has been done on the ground.

“The process is entirely taken from leading European experience. In countries where the system is in place, it has taken a long time for it to develop further. In the next 3-4 years, the system will change in a positive way in Armenia as well. We will get the expected result. It takes time, will and investment,” PhD in Law said.
