On 20 March, the renewed Chair of Design and Fine Arts was commissioned at the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. Levon Tokmanjian, Head of the Chair of Design and Fine Arts, presented to the guests in detail the works carried out. Gor Vardanyan, Rector of NPUA, mentioned in his speech that months ago they had set themselves the task of creating such an educational environment where students can get the best education. “These works were first started by the professors, students and specialists of the chair, who prepared the project they envisioned and presented it to us.”
According to Vardanyan, the teaching staff and students with their colors and ideas have designed and created such an environment that it is possible to train specialists by carrying out work within the framework of practical projects.
Gor Vardanyan said that the process would be continuous with the participation of friends and graduates of the Polytechnic.
“There is a competitive education in the Polytechnic, and through this competitive education we are waiting for our future applicants to educate them even better and pave the way for the professional community. Today is another historic day in the life of the Polytechnic, a new history is being created,” he said.
“We are in the Department of Design and Fine Arts, but I want to talk about the general development of the university recently, which, we can say, started with the washing and painting of this very building (the 9th building). Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia Tigran Avinyan said. “All these processes, which we are witnessing, started with the washing and painting of this main building, which symbolized that big changes are coming. A very competent work formula was found, where everyone has their role.”
According to Avinyan, the renovation of the Chair of Design and Fine Arts is about inclusiveness, that everyone can use their ability and skill to improve the environment.
“I congratulate all the beneficiaries. I thank all the organizations that supported the implementation of this project, and I wish the Polytechnic continuity in this flight, which excites us, which gives us strength to put even more effort into the development of the university,” Tigran Avinyan said.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arthur Martirosyan noted that everyone is witnessing the creation of a new educational environment.
“If we talk about the large-scale educational reforms carried out in Armenia, especially in recent years, we should see them in their entirety, that is, the training of specialists, the connection to the labor market. The existence of an educational environment is also an important component in achieving various indicators of the internationalization of universities, and in that sense, I congratulate the Polytechnic and I believe that we should continuously witness the creation of such environments,” he said.
According to Arthur Martirosyan, the Chair of Design and Fine Arts puts forward many practical formulas for solving various problems of public life.
“Just the fact that professors and students participated in the creation of this environment, this is a prototype by which they will be in the forefront of the reform and transformation of our reality, our country,” the Deputy Minister said.
Armen Mkrtchyan, Director of “NORK DEVELOPMENTS” Company, congratulated everyone for implementing another project.
“I would like to express my deep gratitude to the management staff of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia for effective cooperation. Our organization, emphasizing the role of education in the development and establishment of the country, is always next to the universities,” he said.
Arayik Karapetyan, Chairman of the Board of “Renshin” Company, noted that their company has been close to the National Polytechnic University of Armenia for many years.
“We must realize that in order to have good, qualified specialists and students, there must also be an appropriate environment to ensure their education, and this is the best example. Under these conditions, our students will implement much better projects, and the business world needs good specialists,” he said.
Mesrop Hakobyan, Chairman of the Board of “Unibank” Company, said that the new generation is to some extent also obliged to be better, educated, confident, which will find its place in the future of Armenia.
“I want to point out that you are studying at a university that first of all teaches learning and thinking, it doesn’t matter in what field. Many of the Polytechnic graduates work in our bank, who never thought they would become bankers,” he said.
