In 2023, the natural growth of the population of Yerevan was 7.9 percent. Davit Karapetyan, Head of Health Department of Yerevan Municipality, announced this today during the procedural session of Yerevan Municipality.
“In general, 15 thousand 606 children were born in Yerevan: 8069 boys, 7837 girls during 2023, The natural growth of the population was 7.9 percent,” Karapetyan said.
After 19 September, 187 children (93 boys, 94 girls) were born in the families of Artsakh citizens forcibly displaced from Artsakh and moved to the RA capital. 48 of them (22 boys, 26 girls) were born in December.
