Sergey Smbatyan has been reinstated as the Chief Conducter of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra

The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra announced on Thursday that it has taken note of Sergey Smbatyan’s acquittal.

Smbatyan’s work in the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra was suspended after the initiation of a criminal case against him and his arrest.

Following the acquittal, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra decided to reinstate the musician.

The orchestra said it looks forward to continuing its mission as Malta’s leading musical institution with redoubled vigor.
