What happened to the people of Artsakh can be considered Genocide. International Law Specialist Ara Khzmalyan said in an interview with Iravaban.net.
“What happened in Artsakh can be described by two terms: crime against humanity or genocide. I think that the threshold of genocide has already been crossed. Genocide does not imply the death of all members of a group. All the actions undertaken by Azerbaijan, the blockade, the war, forced people to be displaced, which is practically the same as genocide for the ethnic group,” Khzmalyan said.
