Tigran Avinyan, candidate for the mayor of Yerevan, received 32 votes for, 5 against and was elected mayor of Yerevan.

There were no invalid ballots.

“I want to thank the people of Yerevan, all the people who went to the polling stations on 17 September, 2023 and voted for our political force, as well as those who voted for other political forces,” Avinyan said in his speech.

I want to express special thanks to the members of the Council of Elders, who elected the mayor today, and I promise to serve Yerevan, RA, based on all the principles that we have announced since 2018,” Avinyan said in his speech.

“Civil Contravt”, “Republic” and “Public Voice” factions took part in the voting.

The session was boycotted by “Mother Armenia” and “National Progress”.
