On July 29, 68-year-old Vagif Khachatryan, who was being transported from Artsakh to Armenia for treatment, accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross, was kidnapped by the representatives of the border guard service of Azerbaijan.
The Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev, announced on 1 October, that the preliminary investigation of the fabricated criminal case against Vagif Khachaturyan has been completed. The case was sent to the Baku Military Court.
