In recent years, particularly after the 44-Day War of 2020, Armenia’s Law Enforcement Agencies reported a number of corruption cases. Even during the April War of 2016, it was clearly emphasized that corruption has taken the form of blood.
One of the reasons for the defeat in the war is the manifestations of corruption in the country itself.
In the Republic of Armenia, there is a law “On Notification System”. According to this law, citizens can report a case of corruption, conflict of interest or code of conduct, claims of incompatibility or other damage to public interests or threats thereof.
The RA Law “On the System of Whistle-Blowing” is operational in our country. According to this law, citizens can report a case of corruption, conflict of interest or code of conduct, claims of incompatibility or other damage to public interests or threats thereof.
You can report through the azdararir.am platform, both openly and anonymously.
When submitting an anonymous report, it is guaranteed that the personal data of the whistleblower will not be disclosed both to the competent authority and to other persons, except in case when the whistleblower discloses his/her personal data.
The competent body does not have the right to take measures to reveal the personal data of the whistleblower who submitted an anonymous report.
The whistleblowers as well as the persons connected to the latter have the right to judicial protection.
A whistleblower cannot be held liable for whistleblowing, unless his act involves a crime.
We do not forget that whistle-blowers are not “snitchers”, they are decent and law abiding citizens.
