On 19 September, the court hearing in the case of the former Chairman of the Urban Development Committee, Vahagn Vermishyan, was held at the Criminal Court of Appeal. Sergey Marabyan was the presiding judge. Judges Mesrop Makyan and Karen Amiryan were in the jury.

The Presiding Judge checked the identity of the defendants and their lawyers.
Both the defense and the prosecution filed appeals against the verdict of the first instance. All the defendants, who submitted an appeal, demand that the verdict of the first instance be completely overturned and that they be declared innocent.
The prosecutor did not appear at the session due to being busy with another case.
In a conversation with Iravaban.net, Alexander Kochubaev said that Vahagn Vermishyan demands an acquittal on all episodes of the accusation.
To note, on 15 May, the court of first instance, presided over by Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan, sentenced Vahagn Vermishyan to 8 years in prison.
