I voted for the continuous development of Yerevan, for the future of us and our children, a better city. After voting in polling station 9/53, Tigran Avinyan, the candidate for mayor of Yerevan, said in a conversation with journalists.
Referring to the use of administrative resource, the accusations about dozens of people being registered at one address, he said. “I was watching the video that was circulating yesterday, there is no logic to blame us, because I think at the end of the elections, you can go and see what percentage of those people went to the elections. It has nothing to do with us. “According to my information, there was a large group of car dealers and there was a person who registered them.”
He added that it is not new that a large number of people are registered at one address. As for bringing people to their rallies by bus, Avinyan said. “I have referred to the topic of administrative resources, which is constantly, excessively and in some places raised falsely. If we are going to have democratic, fair elections today, there is no logic in using that administrative resource or bringing people to gatherings. Let’s not lose the logical chain of accusations.”
Referring to the presence of the names of the deceased in the voter lists, the candidate of the Civil Contract said: “There could be inaccuracies, but also after the elections, you can check who went to the elections and whether those people went as a result of those inaccuracies and whether you see a signature in front of them.
If we actually applied an administrative resource, do you think we wouldn’t have 12 percent instead of 5.78 percent as of 11 o’clock? Of course we would have, but those times have passed long ago.”
