From 1 February, 2024, stricter measures to check the availability of documents will be taken: MSIB

In the cases defined by Decision No. 130 of the EEC Council of 12 November, 2021 “On the Procedure for importing into the Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union the Products Subject to Mandatory Assessment in the Customs Territory of the Eurasian Economic Union ” for the import of products that are subject to technical regulation, the existence of conformity assessment documents provided in the manner established by legislation for the product, is considered a mandatory condition at the stage of entering the territory of the RA. The Market Surveillance Inspection Body reported.

“Furthermore, from 1 February, 2024, stricter measures will be taken to verify the availability of necessary documents for conformity assessment defined by technical regulations, and in the absence of the above-mentioned documents, the release of goods will be prohibited by the customs authorities.

Therefore, we urge to familiarize with the list of products that are subject to mandatory technical regulation ( https://www.mineconomy.am/page/276900) in order to ensure the presence of the document specified by the relevant technical regulation/s and required by the customs authorities at the time of import,” the announcement states.
