The Situation at the Border is Tense: Nikol Pashinyan

The situation at the border is tense, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on Public TV. The Prime Minister said that Azerbaijan has a certain concentration of troops on the border, and has also accumulated certain troops around Nagorno-Karabakh.

As to why the Prime Minister did not have a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin regarding the situation on the border, he said that the first call was with him.

“I spoke with the President of the Russian Federation recently; I did not speak with the others. I should also say that the purpose and meaning of these calls is to convey that information to those partners who are not informed about certain nuances, and the President of the Russian Federation is informed about the situation,” Nikol Pashinyan noted.

He said that since the last conversation with Putin, the situation has not changed so much that there was a need for a new conversation with the Russian President. “Telephone conversations may take place as needed.”
