Masis Mayor Davit Hambardzumyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“I was deeply saddened to learn that the residents of our community Andranik Arshak Antonyan and Arsen Alexandr Mkrtchyan were killed as a result of the fire of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the Sotk sector.

My condolences to the family members and relatives of our boys. Strength and endurance to you.”

The RA Ministry of Defence has officially announced that as a result of Azerbaijani provocation, the Armenian side has 3 victims and 1 wounded.

This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

To remind, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, regularly spreading disinformation on 31 August and thus creating an information base for another provocation, on 1 September, starting at 07:50, opened intense fire at the Armenian positions located in the Sotk area. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces, in addition to firearms of various calibers use mortars as well.

As of 12:25 p.m., the units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from small arms in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the Norabak sector.

As a result of the monitoring of the relevant units of the RA Armed Forces, measures of concentration of military equipment and additional personnel of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces are recorded in the Sotk sector.
