Artsakh has been under Siege for 252 Days.
Twice during the day, the Ministry of Defense of Artsakh denied the misinformation spread by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan. The message from the Azerbaijani side that the Defense Forces units allegedly carried out fortification works in the Askeran region of Artsakh on 19 August at around 16:00, which was allegedly prevented as a result of the actions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, is another misinformation.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported that fortification works are being carried out in Kashatagh region of Artsakh.
“The information does not correspond to reality,” the Ministry of Defense of Artsakh said.
Artsakh InfoCenter reported that thanks to the organizational work undertaken in recent days, an additional volume of meat products will be released to the market of Stepanakert city from tomorrow, the maximum price of 1 kilogram of beef and pork is 4,000 drams, which we will try to maintain for a certain period of time.
Azerbaijan has blocked all kinds of cargo and humanitarian transportation to Artsakh for about two months.
On 26 July, Armenia sent 360 tons of humanitarian aid to the people of Artsakh. Trucks carrying humanitarian goods have arrived in Kornidzor, waiting for the response of the command of the Russian peacekeeping force, so that it is possible to deliver the goods to the territory of the Republic of Artsakh. Azerbaijan does not allow humanitarian cargo, including baby food and medicine, to reach the territory of Artsakh.
On 22 February, the International Court published the decision regarding the request submitted by Armenia and stated: “Since 12 December, the connection through the Lachin Corridor has been disrupted; the supply of food, medicine and other necessary goods to Nagorno Karabakh has been hindered, which can cause irreparable damage.
“The Court considers that it is necessary to apply a temporary measure and court records that Azerbaijan is obliged to take the measures that depend on it to ensure the uninterrupted movement of people and goods in both directions through the Lachin Corridor.”
It was noted that the court’s decision came into force from the moment of its publication.
However, the fact is that the road is still closed.
Due to the lack of international pressure on Azerbaijan, the Armenians of Artsakh are facing a humanitarian disaster. The appeals of the international community have been ignored by the leadership of Azerbaijan until now.
Fundamental human rights have been violated for 252 days, and international organizations and states are silent.
Due to the terrorist behavior of the Azerbaijani side, the villages of Shushi region are completely cut off from the capital of Artsakh and other settlements.
It should be noted that the Governing Board of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armeniaalso made a statement. “This blockade, under the guise of environmentalism, pursues the realization of the corrupt ambitions of the despotic leadership of Azerbaijan to seize the most important assets of Artsakh’s economy.”
