The Government has approved the results of the election of Sara Nalbandyan as the Rector of the Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema.

As the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan noted, the institute had an acting rector for a long time. “I am glad that the situation has been resolved finally, and today we already have the Rector, Sara Nalbandyan, elected by the session of the Board of Trustees on 20 April. She has an immense experience in the field, she is a Ph.D. of Arts and an associate professor, as well as she has a lot of experience in cooperation with foreign universities, she also has work experience at YSITC,” the Minister said, expressing hope that the new Rector will be able to successfully manage the university.

Sara Nalbandyan thanked the Minister for trust.  “I am fully aware of the seriousness of the duties to be undertaken. And I will try to implement them with all seriousness,”  the Rector said, assuring that she will constantly review the university’s educational programs and teaching methods during her work.
