As part of the criminal proceedings being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Committee, today, 21 March, Seyran Mejlumyan, former Secretary of Staff of Yerevan Municipality’s, and Davit Dallakyan, Deputy Head of the Architecture and Urban Development, Acting Head of the Department, were arrested. Marina Ohanjanyan, Press Secretary of the Anti-corruption Committee, confirmed the information to Iravaban.net.
Notably, on 17 March, Seyran Mejlumyan, the Secretary of Yerevan Municipality’s staff, submitted an application for resignation. He was appointed to this position on 19 July, 2022and before that he held the position of the Deputy Mayor.
On 17 March, Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan also announced his resignation.
